FLU VACCINATIONS

Flu vaccinations are generally available from April/May each year. It is recommended that most people have an annual flu vaccination as the strains of flu are often changing and annual vaccines are targeted to the most common occurring strains.

The flu vaccine is free under the National Immunisation Program for people aged 65 years or over, ATSI people under 5 years of age or over 15 years of age, pregnant women, and people with an eligible chronic disease that can lead to complications from influenza (such as asthma or diabetes). For further information, please speak to your doctor, nurse or our reception team.

NEW ONLINE APPOINTMENT BOOKING SYSTEM

We are excited to announce that in addition to our regular appointment processes, we now also offer an online appointment system for our existing patients. The new patient will have access to booking appointments online after they have registered and had their first consultation at the clinic. Simply download the HOTDOC app for any device, and follow the instructions provided to register and start using this service. Online appointments provide 24hr convenience and flexibility to be able to search for and book an appointment. This service also includes free SMS and/or email reminders for your appointments, should you wish to use them.

If you have multiple or complex matters that you need to discuss with your doctor, we request that you book a long appointment, which can also be done using this online service. If you have multiple or complex issues to discuss and you do not book a longer appointment, there may be insufficient time for the doctor to address your enquiries and you may be asked to book a follow-up appointment. If you are not sure how long you need for an appointment or have any other questions, our reception team remain available between 8.30am – 6.00pm Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays).

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

In an emergency please call '000'.

Every effort is made to keep appointments running to time, however, due to the unpredictable nature of our work this is not always possible. Patients are encouraged to contact us prior to an appointment to check that the schedule is running to time.

Please give thought to the amount of time your appointment may require. If there are multiple or complex issues that need discussion, please let reception know when booking your appointment so that sufficient time can be allocated with the doctor.
